Studio ESH is founded by woodcarver and product designer Erik Singstad Hagen. He designs and manufactures functional and sustainable products made from local, renewable materials - created to last for generations.
His products are characterized by a simple and minimalist design language, combined with solid and environmentally friendly materials. With oak from southern Norway, ash from Østfold and 150-year-old bricks from the mouth of the River Glomma, the green focus is central to production. Each object is handmade with traditional craftsmanship and built to last.
As a cabinetmaker and product designer, Erik believes that the properties of wood should determine its function. The renewable resources around us can be shaped into everyday objects and interior elements, with respect for the material and nature.
Erik has a vocational education in furniture and wood production and a bachelor's degree in product design from OsloMet.
