Danish photographer Pernille Sandberg (b. 1994) has lived and worked in Berlin, Copenhagen and Oslo, studying at London College of Fashion, The University of Europe for Applied Sciences Berlin and Fatamorgana School of Art Photography. She works at the intersection of art photography, fashion, documentary and film directing.

Sandberg's photographs are often characterized by melancholy and nostalgia, and she is particularly known for her intimate portraits. She works both digitally and in the darkroom, experimenting with light, props and atmosphere to create intimacy and emotional depth in her images.

Through her images, she invites the viewer into the universe of her subjects, encouraging reflection on moods and stories. She is also involved in drug policy and actively participated in the debate on a possible new drug reform in Norway. In 2021, she created a traveling exhibition on the subject, supported by Johan H. Andresen (FERD).

Sandberg has had solo and group exhibitions at venues including Grieghallen (Bergen), Shoot Gallery (Oslo), Nordic Light Festival of Photography (Kristiansund), The Hole (New York), Negar Art Gallery (Tehran), Norwegian Icons (Tokyo), Rademakers Gallery (Amsterdam) and Association Tournefou (Paris).

Her commercial clients include Zeiss, Joachim Trier, Nowness, Vogue UK, L'Officiel Italia, AnOther Magazine, Tom Wood and Son Venïn. In 2019, she was a finalist in the Prix Picto de la Mode, Paris.
