Norwegian designers Morten Skjærpe Knarrum and Jonas Norheim are known as Morten & Jonas. After completing their master's degrees at the Bergen Academy of Art and Design, they established their studio in the city. Their furniture and lighting design is characterized by curiosity, playfulness and an irreverent approach to form and function.
From the start, Morten & Jonas have used design as a platform for social agendas - including involving inmates in the production of an early design for Northern. Since then, the duo has created a number of award-winning products, exhibited internationally and established itself as one of Norway's most recognized design players.
In the Northern collection, they give full expression to their creative vision, combining multi-functional furniture with discreet lighting - while also acting as Creative Directors for the brand.
