Ken Bakke and Aud Helen Eike Erdal started TWAS 14 years ago in Stavanger, where they sat down and shared their dreams of a design agency. They wanted a creative, happy and playful atmosphere. This dream came true and they soon pursued their own product line with enriched storytelling.
The importance of storytelling and a human touch
We're all for technology and innovation, we love our coffee machine and our playlists, but let's not forget the small human details. When was the last time you wrote a few lines? Not an emoji, or a message, but a handwritten card? It can change a person's day. They can carry the card with them and enjoy it for a long time. They can put it over the fireplace or next to the fruit bowl and watch it every morning at breakfast. You cannot do this digitally.
Stories draw communities together
Over time and across borders, people have connected through images and words. Stories draw communities together. TWAS believes in the power of stories to transcend borders. They are Norwegian but international by choice. TWAS products are sustainably made in Norway and sent out into the world to spread some love. Each one has a story to tell.
