Ayla Gürsoy

Ayla Gürsoy is a furniture designer based in Bergen. Ayla focuses on the meeting between form, materials and humans. She is driven by her curiosity and attention to details. She uses physical prototyping as her main tool in her design process. Her process results in a functional, clean, yet bold aesthetic.
Ayla is working in different fields within design. She is building her own studio and establishing Ytre Studio together with two other Bergen based designers. Ayla is an interior stylist at Heem Bergen. The design trio Ytre recently won the design competition from Fram Oslo x Håndverk Pluss in Oslo. Ayla is currently taking her master in furniture and spatial design at the University of Bergen.
