Helle Lie Jakobsen

Helle Lie Jakobsen is a fashion designer and artist from Oslo, based in Folldal. Working with jewelry and textile as her main fields, the artist has a craft-based approach to design. She works with her hands, shaping clay into sculptural earrings, and explores the thread as a form of expression. With nature as a constant source of inspiration, she seeks organic lines, shapes and textures.

She works from her home studio in Folldal, - a small mountain village north of the norwegian innlands. The polymer clay earrings are handmade and molded by the artist herself, which makes each piece unique.

“Something that is repeated in my work is an interest in capturing movement in a fixed form. Movement to me, is life itself. Waves of emotions, the rawness of nature, childhood playfulness, a song travelling through the heart, or what moves in the unknown.“
